Kimm, Nieman out to quick start in Prospect League

Manchester University baseball players Trevor Kimm (Anderson, Ind.) and Jordan Nieman (Michigan City, Ind.) are off to a strong start in the Prospect summer collegiate wood bat League.

Kimm is among the top five in batting average for the Richmond River Rats, hitting .282 through 30 games. Nieman is at .254, while both of them are in RBI double figures (Kimm – 11/Nieman – 10).

Richmond, going into a six-game home stand that begins with a two-game series against Chillicothe July 2, is 13-17 and five games out of first in the Eastern Division.
